Feeding Dreams is a NGO (non-profit) Cambodia charity and a grass roots community school providing Free education, vocational centre, school meals and community support to over 800 poor children and families living in Siem Reap’s slums.

 

Through our strategic implementation of 6 established programs, we take a holistic approach to sustainable development in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

 

We strive to keep families united, fight poverty, illiteracy and malnutrition, and help grow tomorrow’s community leaders.

2012

Feeding Dreams Cambodia Officially Registers

The Royal Government of Cambodia issues Feeding Dreams Cambodia with registered NGO License No. 1541
2012

Feeding Dreams Cambodia Opens

FDC opened its doors to 400 starving children from the urban slums of Siem Reap.
2012

Introductory Programs Established

Free English and Math education (400 children), Daily Nutritious Meals (150 children).
2013

Education Programs Accredited by Ministry of Education, Youth & Sports

Formal ceremony and presentation of English & I.T. Diplomas presented by Excellency’s Director of Education and Deputy Governor of Siem Reap.
2013

Additional Programs Implemented

6 Month I.T Courses, Sport and Community Support (Public school student sponsorships).
2014

Morality Development Program Launched

Weekly morality lessons introduced to school curriculum, teaching children the importance of human rights, gender equality, self-worth, compassion and empathy from a very early age.
2014

School Relocates

As our numbers of students grew to 800, and feeding 600 each day, our school moves to a larger site in Sala Kamreuk.
2014

MoU Signed with the University of Southeast Asia

USEA agrees to work with FDC to provide higher education at discounted rates to our students.
2015

First Aid Room Estabished

Providing basic daily medical care to our students.
2015

Clean Drinking Water processing system put in place

KIDS Canada provides Feeding Dreams with a Water Filtration system, offering clean drinking water for children, staff, and our School Kitchen.
2016

Y.E.S Football Academy Launched

Director Blaed Perkins launches the Y.E.S (Youth Education Sport) Football Academy program for marginalized youth.
2016

Opening Ceremony of the Dreams Vocational Training Center

The official opening of the DTC with 60 impoverished new trainees. Guests at the Ceremony were the Deputy of Tourism, Minister from the Duty of Labour Law and Vocational training and all supporting community leaders.

2030 Not A Fairytale Published

Director Arlene Gormley publishes children’s book about the United Nations plan for transforming OUR world. The book explains the goals to end extreme poverty, provide education, water and healthcare to EVERY child, and the need to protect our planet, with all proceeds in aid of Feeding Dreams.

Official Opening of Aunty Mel’s Kindy Corner

Kindergarten program launched in tribute of the beautiful Melinda Horner.
2018

Inaugural Annual Charity Bike Ride Takes Place

The first ever Feeding Dreams Bike Ride see’s 14 individuals cycle 650km across Cambodia in aid of our children
2018

Astro turf Football & outdoor play area constructed

Our fully-sponsored Astro turf Football pitch is built providing our 800 kids access to daily Physical-Education at Feeding Dreams Cambodia.

Feeding Dreams joins ECPAT & APLE

Feeding Dreams links with ECPAT International to work to eliminate all forms of child sexual exploitation & to relaunch The Internet Hotline Cambodia.
2019

FDC partners with Terre des Hommes

FDC partners with Terre des Hommes Netherlands (TdH-NL), a leading development partner in Cambodia’s fight to end violence against children. Terre des Hommes works with government, civil society, and local partners to Prevent and Respond to Violence Against Children, and stopping child exploitation.
2019

Signed Memorandum of Understanding

Signed Memorandum of Understanding between Feeding Dreams Cambodia and Build Bright University, Siem Reap. Build Bright University now offers our impoverished students enrolled by Feeding Dreams a discounted yearly cost for Bachelor studies.
